[ES] En la actualidad, encontrar un aparcamiento libre en el centro de las ciudades se ha convertido en un problema que provoca, en la mayoría de las ocasiones, una pérdida de tiempo al conductor, una mayor contaminación del medioambiente, un gasto económico y una situación de estrés.
Para intentar resolver este problema, existe una iniciativa que consiste en la instalación de sensores inalámbricos en las plazas de aparcamiento de las vías públicas al objeto de conocer en tiempo real, y a través de Internet, aquellas plazas que están ocupadas o libres.
En el presente TFG se ha llevado a cabo la monitorización de plazas de parking en el exterior mediante la utilización de sensores Waspmote y de una red low-power wide-area network (LPWAN), como es Sigfox.
[EN] Nowadays, finding free parking in the center of cities has become a problem that causes, in most cases, a loss of time to the driver, environmental pollution, an economic expense and a situation of stress. In order to solve this problem, there is an initiative that consists of the installation of wireless sensors in the parking spaces of roads to know in real time, and using the Internet, those places that are occupied or free. In this work, it has been carried out the monitoring of parking spaces by using Waspmote sensors and a network low-power wide-area network (LPWAN), such as Sigfox.
