Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es el desarrollo de nuevos geopolímeros o materiales de activación alcalina más verdes que
permitan la sustitución parcial del cemento Portland tradicional. Se han estudiado y comparado las propiedades físicas,
mecánicas y térmicas de los conglomerantes que emplean como fuente de aluminosilicatos escorias de cobre activadas
empleando como activador alcalino alternativo distintas cantidades de cenizas volantes de orujillo (30-50 % en peso) con
respecto a los resultados obtenidos cuando se activin con una solución de KOH comercial 4 M y 8 M. Tras el análisis de
los diferentes ensayos realizados se ha obtenido que los conglomerantes que presentan propiedades mecánicas similares a
los fabricados con una disolución comercial 8M son los conglomerantes que emplean un 50 % en peso de cenizas volantes
de orujillo como activador alternative más ecológico.
The aim of this work is the development of new geopolymers or greener alkaline activated materials that allow the partial substitution of traditional Portland cement. The physical, mechanical and thermal properties of binders using activated copper slag as a source of aluminosilicates with different amounts of olive pomace fly ash (30-50 wt.%) as an alternative alkaline activator have been studied and compared with the results obtained when activated with a 4 M and 8 M commercial KOH solution. After the analysis of the different tests carried out, it was found that the binders with mechanical properties similar to those manufactured with a commercial 8M solution are the binders that use 50 wt % of pomace fly ash as the more environmentally friendly alternative activator.
