Resumen
[ES] La atención a la dependencia siempre ha estado cubierta por el entono más íntimo de la persona, pero el cambio en las estructuras familiares y la incorporación de la mujer al mercado laboral ha obligado a todos los países de Europa a diseñar sistemas que garanticen los cuidados de larga duración de calidad y sin depender de la familia. Cada país ha adoptado distintas medidas según su cultura y tradición de los cuidados. En Europa encontramos cuatro modelos de atención; modelo nórdico, corporativo, liberal y mediterráneo y dentro de cada uno de ellos encontramos distintos países con características comunes pero con sistemas diferentes entre sí.
[EN] Dependency care has always been covered by the most intimate environment of the person, but the change in family structures and the incorporation of women into the labor market have forced all European countries to design systems that guarantee queality long-term care without depending on the family. Each country has adopted different measures according to its culture and tradition of care. In Europe we find four models: nordic, corporate, liberal and mediterranean model and within each of them we find different countries with common characteristics but with different systems from each other.
