Las iglesias prerrománicas astures y su impacto en el poblamiento y en el territorio (Siglos VIII al X)

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende acercarse a los aspectos sociales y económicos que subyacen en el arte asturiano, sin perder de vista la necesidad del control efectivo del territorio por parte de los monarcas asturianos y de las élites aldeanas, mostrando las diferencias desde el punto de vista estilístico y constructivo, la diferente capacidad económica de sus mecenas o financiadores y las distintas funciones que desempeñan en el territorio asturiano.

The aim of this work is approaching the social and economic aspects that underlie Asturian art, without losing sight of the need for effective control of the territory by the Asturian monarchs and the village elites, showing the differences from the stylistic and constructive point of view, the different economic capacity of their patrons or financiers and the different functions they perform in the Asturian territory.
