Alteraciones de atención y memoria en pacientes con fibromialgia y su implicación en el tratamiento de esta enfermedad

Abstract

[ES] La presente investigación se centra en indagar con una exhaustiva revisión bibliográfica el deterioro cognitivo específicamente la atención y la memoria en pacientes que presenta fibromialgia. La investigación analiza gran cantidad de material educativo, desde tesis doctorales, libros, artículos, publicaciones, trabajos finales de grado y trabajos de master. La fibromialgia es una enfermedad que afecta a un sin número de personas, la misma conlleva síntomas específicos que no solo se encasillan en el dolor generalizado, sino serias afecciones a los aspectos cognitivos de las personas que sufren esta enfermedad, específicamente la memoria y la atención. Aunque esta enfermedad actualmente no tiene cura, sus síntomas se atienden individualmente con un equipo multimodal para atender los diferentes síntomas de esta enfermedad. Por ende, la importancia de este trabajo radica en conocer y estudiar a profundidad esta enfermedad.

[EN] The present research focuses on investigating with an exhaustive bibliographic review cognitive impairment, specifically attention and memory in patients with fibromyalgia. The research investigated a number of educational material, from doctoral thesis, books, articles, publications, final degree projects and master's works. Fibromyalgia is a disease that affects a number of people, it carries specific symptoms that are not only pigeonholed in generalized pain, but also serious affections to the cognitive aspects of people who suffer from this disease, specifically memory and attention. Although this disease currently has no cure, its symptoms are treated individually with a multimodal team to attend to the different symptoms of this disease. Therefore, the importance of this work lies in knowing and studying this disease in depth.
