LAS PERSONAS CON DISCAPACIDAD, SUS FAMILIAS Y SU ENTORNO SOCIAL: UNA MIRADA HACIA EL FUTURO DESDE EL TRABAJO SOCIAL

Abstract

En este Trabajo Fin de Grado se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica sobre las condiciones en las que se encuentran las personas con discapacidad y sus familias ante la exclusión y estigmatización social del colectivo. La primera parte de este trabajo, incluye el devenir de la terminología de la discapacidad, además, se muestran las principales leyes que han generado la mejora del colectivo de las personas con discapacidad, observándose como la respuesta social y la actuación a esta situación ha ido cambiando. En segundo lugar, se pone de manifiesto la imagen social de la discapacidad y el entorno familiar de las personas con discapacidad, para ello se ha tratado el tema desde diferentes enfoques, abordando la discapacidad desde los medios de la comunicación, la estigmatización social, la perspectiva de los familiares y la importancia que tiene el conocer esta situación para actuar de forma adecuada en una integración del colectivo de estudio.

In this final project, a bibliographic review has been carried out on the situation of the conditions in which people with disabilities and families face the exclusion and social stigmatization of the group. The first part of this work includes the evolution of disability terminology, furthemore, the main laws that have generated the improvement of the group of people with disabilities are shown, observing this way, as the social response and the action in this situation has been changing. Secondly, it deals with the image of the social image of disability and the family environment of people with disabilities. For this purpose, the theme of the different approaches has been addressed, disability of the means of communication has been addressed, social stigmatization, the perspective of family members and the importance of knowing this situation in order to act appropriately in an integration of the study group.
