GAMES RECIPE KIT: (AN INTEGRATED SKILL APPROACH) FOR ENGLISH PRIMARY TEACHERS

[ES] El proyecto que hemos desarrollado pretende ofrecer una propuesta didáctica y lúdica, basada en un método integrador de competencias y destrezas, cuyo principal objetivo es la adquisición de la competencia comunicativa. Para ello, hemos elaborado una guía práctica destinada a profesores del inglés de Primaria en España, que consiste en un kit de veintiocho juegos divididos en cuatro categorías para facilitar su uso. Cada juego trae unas instrucciones para su puesta en práctica y un apartado donde se desglosan los contenidos, objetivos, inteligencias y habilidades. La asignatura de inglés como lengua extranjera ha pasado a desempeñar un papel fundamental en la formación de los alumnos. Conseguir que los alumnos sean capaces de comunicarse en inglés es uno de los objetivos del profesor de esta materia, para logralo, hay que encontrar métodos y técnicas motivadores. En este sentido, el aprendizaje basado en juegos es un método apropiado para dar respuestas a las necesidades del docente.
[EN] We have carried out a project which aims to provide a playful and pedagogic proposal, based on an integrative skill approach that aims to achieve the communicative competence. To do so, we deliver a didactic and practical guide addressed to English Primary teachers in Spain, which consists of a kit with twenty eight games which have been divided into four categories to ease its use. Each game comes with some instructions or steps and with a section whre we can find the contents, objectives, intelligences and skills that are worked within a game. English as a foreign language has became a crucial subject in our student's life-long learning. In this sense, a student being able to communicate in English has turned up to be a main objective among teachers. Therefore, teachers have to find motivating and inspiring methods and techniques. Games based-learning is a suitable and meaningful method to solve the current needs.
