[EN] The current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has meant that many older adults are beginning to show symptoms of anxiety and depression, or that the symptoms they already had are worsening; all of this due to the feeling of loneliness that has been so characteristic of this pandemic, with those adults who live in homes for the elderly being the most affected. This is why the target groups of this intervention program are institutionalized older adults with whom we have worked on the recognition of emotions, communication between equals, group cohesion, teaching them relaxation techniques, recognition techniques and changing irrational thoughts, among other tools, with the aim of improving their mental health by reducing their levels of anxiety and depression and providing them with coping strategies.
