postural.

[EN]The objective of the present investigation is to verify if one single training session at high intensity can affect in some way the postural control in wrestling athletes. In this study, 39 wrestlers ranging from juvenile to senior categories finally participated. The stabilometric study was performed using a stabilometric platform (FreeMed, base model), for which FreeStep software v.1.2.03 was used. Stabilometric tests were carried out to measure the postural control of the subjects before and after a training of 1 hour and 15 minutes at high intensity. After training, the participants showed worsening in the variables speed (p = 0.020), length of the stabilogram (p = 0.026) and dispersion of the center of pressures with respect to the medio-lateral axis (0.021) in the test with closed eyes. The variables sex, age, weight and BMI had no significant effects on postural control. KEY WORDS: Wrestling, judo, karate, postural control, stabilometry
