L. Stevenson's The Strange Case of Doctor Jeky/1 and Mr. Hyde {1886) and Osear Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray {1890). An introduction to the Gothic genre from its origin up to the XIX century in the UK and the USA will be also included to contextualize the genre and offer an account of its main stages, authors, and works.
