CÁLCULO MENTAL EN EDUCACIÓN PRIMARIA

Abstract

La educación se encuentra en una situación que no es la más idónea, y por tanto es deber de todos y cada uno de los miembros de la comunidad educativa encontrar una solución. Concretamente, dentro del campo de las matemáticas, puede observarse una situación académica poco favorable, y es por ello que se considera necesario que desde los niveles más bajos se trabaje dicha materia con un enfoque más práctico y que no resulte aburrido para el alumnado. Es ahí donde el cálculo mental juega un papel fundamental, puesto que permite que la construcción de conocimiento de las diferentes áreas vaya siendo progresiva a través de material manipulativo. En este trabajo se va a explicar la importancia de esta herramienta de aprendizaje, y se van a ofrecer propuestas concretas que la trabajen de forma transversal de manera que se oriente la acción educativa hacia la excelencia de cada uno de los alumnos.

The situation of education nowadays is not optima!, and that is why it is the duty of each and everyone in the educative community to find an answer for this. Particularly, within the Mathematics field, it can be observed that the academic situation is not favorable, and this is the reason why it is necessary to work this subject from a more practica! approach, starting from the lowest levels, focused on daily life. Within this idea, mental calculation plays a fundamental role, since it allows the knowledge building from different areas to be progressive through manipulative material. In this essay, the importance of this learning tool will be explained; and also specific proposals will be shown, ones that work transversely, in a way that the educative action is oriented towards the excellence of each and every pupil.
