En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se estudió la viabilidad de la fabricación de nuevos cementos de
activación alcalina basados en chamota activada con activador alcalino alternativo obtenido por el
tratamiento térmico de un residuo rico en sílice, tierra de diatomeas agotadas de la industria cervecera
y NaOH mediante ensayos para el estudio de las propiedades tecnológicas.
Los resultados muestran la viabilidad de los cementos alternativos al presentar propiedades
tecnológicas superiores a los cementos obtenidos mediante activador comercial. Por lo que se
demuestra el uso de cementos obtenidos a partir de residuos como una alternativa más sostenible.
In this Final Degree Project, the feasibility of producing new alkali-activated cements based on chamotte activated with an alternative alkaline activator was studied. The activator was obtained by the thermal treatment of a silica-rich waste, spent diatomaceous earth from the brewing industry and NaOH, through tests to evaluate technological properties. The results demonstrate the feasibility of these alternative cements, as they exhibit superior technological properties compared to cements produced with commercial activators. This proves the use of cements derived from waste as a more sustainable alternative.
