Resumen
[ES] El aceite de oliva es un tema que está ganando creciente interés a
nivel mundial. En los últimos cinco años se ha producido un aumento
significativo en el número de países interesados en hacer negocio con el
sector oleícola. Este hecho lo demuestran los crecimientos
experimentados por los cuatro aspectos relevantes en este negocio: la
producción, el consumo, las importaciones y las exportaciones a nivel
mundial. No obstante, estos incrementos han mostrado diferencias
geográficas significativas debidas, entre otras razones, al surgimiento de
países emergentes que están ganando cuota de mercado.
El objetivo del presente trabajo es ofrecer una visión precisa de
cómo han evolucionado la producción, el consumo, las exportaciones e
importaciones del aceite de oliva a lo largo del mundo en los últimos
cinco años, diferenciando en dos grandes bloques geográficos, la Unión
Europea y el resto del mundo.
[EN] Olive oíl is a point that is growing in interest at world leve!. In the last five years there has been a significant increase in the number of countries interested in doing business with the olive sector. This fact is demonstrated by the growth experienced by the four relevant aspects of this business: production, consumption, exports and imports at world leve!. However, these mcreases have shown important geographic differences due, among other reasons, to the rise of emerging countries which are gaining market share. The aim of this work is to provide an accurate indication of how production, consumption, exports and impo11s of olive oíl have evolved throughout the world in the last five years, sp litting into two mam geographical areas, the European Un ion and the rest of the world.
