The present work will address the violation of Human Rights at the borders located in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. In their attempt to cross irregularly into Spanish territory through the Moroccan cities near the borders, migrants from different parts of the African continent are occasionally victims of serious violations of their basic fundamental rights. First, the concept of "border" and its political function will be developed theoretically, specifically addressing issues related to the Spanish borders in North Africa. Subsequently, the controversial actions of the security forces, both at the border fences (violence, mistreatment, "pushbacks") and in the Temporary Immigrant Stay Centres (CETIS), and how this actions are related to the violation of migrants’ rights, will be shown. Finally, this phenomenon will be linked to the role of Social Work in this context
