ENVEJECIENTES EN PRISIÓN

Abstract

El presente trabajo refleja el estado actual del fenómeno social de personas reclusas mayores dentro del sistema penitenciario español y expone los motivos y los efectos del envejecimiento en prisión. Se analiza, además, el perfil y tipología delictiva de las personas reclusas mayores y si las prisiones cuentan con herramientas y medidas suficientes para satisfacer las necesidades especiales y atender las enfermedades que padece este colectivo. Se expone el régimen de vida que tienen las personas reclusas mayores dentro de prisión y se muestra el marco de actuación que regula las funciones generales de los/as profesionales del Trabajo Social dentro del Equipo Técnico. Este trabajo tiene la finalidad de poder servir como premisa y referencia para futuros proyectos de intervención encaminados a erradicar esta problemática a raíz de implementar una serie de propuestas de actuación desde el Trabajo SocialThe present job reflects the actual state of the social phenomenon of elderly inmates inside Spanish penitentiary system and explains the motives and effects of ageing in prison. It will also be analysed the profile and criminal typology of elderly inmates and whether prisons have enough tools and measures to satisfy special needs and look after illnesses that this group of people is suffering from. The elderly inmates lifestyle inside the prison will be exposed, as well as, the framework of action that regulates the general functions of Social work professionals within the Technical Team. This job is aimed to be valuable as premise and reference for future intervention projects on target to eradicate these problems as a result of establishing a series of action proposals from Social Work
