Adolescencia y alcohol. Un problema de salud pública.

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se analizan las repercusiones biológicas, psicológicas ysociales que para un sujeto tiene la ingesta abusiva de alcohol, resaltando los efectosperjudiciales que dicha ingesta puede provocar, tanto a corto como a largo plazo. Seprestará especial atención al consumo de alcohol durante la adolescencia, explorandocuestiones como la percepción del riesgo, la motivación para consumir y los riesgosreales que tienen los jóvenes. Asimismo, se comentarán algunos de los factores deprotección para el trastorno por consumo de alcohol en adolescentes. Se incluye,además, un análisis de las posibles medidas de prevención del consumo abusivo dealcohol en adolescentes, y se reflexiona sobre la importancia de una detección eintervención temprana. Finalmente, se mostrarán algunas técnicas de intervención, altratamiento de esta adicción.

The present work is focused on the social, biological, psychologicalconsequences caused by the abusive taken of alcohol, by highlighting the harmfuleffects, whether short-term or long-term, that may be provoked. Special attention willbe drawn to the consume throughout adolescence, by investigating topics such as therisk perception, the motives for consuming and the real risks that youngsters maycome across. Additionally, a few factors of protection will be mentioned to treat thedisorder caused by the consume of alcohol among adolescents. Moreover, an analysisis included about the possible measures of prevention of abusive consume of alcoholamong adolescents and a reflection on the importance of an early detection andintervention. Finally, a few procedures of intervention to treat this addiction will bedisplayed.
