An experimental group performed one hour of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily for 12 weeks, while a control group maintained their daily habits. The time to fall asleep, sleep hours, and sleep quality were evaluated. Physical activity did not significantly affect the time to fall asleep, but there was an improvement in sleep hours, especially among girls. Additionally, there was an improvement in sleep quality in both sexes. The study highlights the importance of regular physical activity to improve sleep quality and the overall well-being of adolescents, providing information for interventions and public health policies.
