ALEGORÍAS DE LAS VIRTUDES TEOLOGALES Y MORALES EN PORTADAS DE IGLESIAS Y CAPILLAS DE ÚBEDA Y BAEZA: SIGLO XVI Y PRIMERA MITAD DEL XVII

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo vamos a realizar un recorrido por las distintas y variadas representaciones de virtudes teologales y morales en distintas portadas de iglesias y capillas de ambas ciudades. También vamos a conocer cuáles son y dónde se encuentran las primeras representaciones del tema, detectando sus prototipos en ámbitos cercanos e influyentes como Jaén y Granada, analizando sus variaciones iconográficas y explicando el significado de sus atributos desde la literatura didáctica de la Antigüedad y del cristianismo.

[EN] In the current work, we are going to make a route by differents and varieties of the Christian and Moral Virtues representations on both cities different churches, gates and chapels. Also, we are going to know which are and where are the Christian and moral virtues issuing ancient representations, detecting their prototypes in nearby and influential fields such as Jaén and Granada cities, analyzing their iconographic variations and explaining their attributes meaning from antiquity and Christianity educational literature.
