[EN]This work shows an analysis on the degradation of three azo dyes, Sunset Yellow, Tartrazine and Ponceau 4R. To carry out this analysis it had been made a Fenton process which consists on the rusting of the azo dye, with the help of a catalyst. During this study, the azo dye concentration, the temperature and the pH of the disso_lution have kept constant resulting in a relationship between the concentration of the catalyst and the oxidizing agent with the speed of the reaction. AII the reactions have been carried out at an acidic pH, and at room temperature. Using the above described conditions and the best proportions of oxidizing agent and catalyst have been achieved very high reaction rates, thus producing degradation of the dyes in the initial stages of the reaction. The results obtained in the degradation process and shown here, have been interpreted through a multivariable Anova analysis.
