La evolución del sistema penitenciario en España y la reinserción social y laboral de los reclusos

Abstract

[ES]Para comprender el funcionamiento de los centros penitenciarios en la actualidad y cómo se les ayuda a los presos a reinsertarse en la sociedad, es importante y necesario conocer sus antecedentes y su evolución histórica, y así también poder tener un mayor espíritu crítico sobre el mismo. El cómo es el sistema penitenciario en nuestros días depende, evidentemente, de lo anteriormente mencionado. Para ello, vamos a realizar un recorrido histórico a lo largo del siglo XX, pasando por los distintos modelos de Estado que han tenido lugar en España y los avances en cuando a reinserción social de los presos y presas hasta la actualidad.

[EN]In order to understand the operation of prisons nowadays and the way they help prisoners to return to society, it is important and necessary to know its history and its historical evolution, and this lets us have a greater critical spirit on it. The actual prison system today depends on all these facts. For that, we are going to make a historical route throughout the twentieth century, through the different state models that have taken place in Spain and the progress about social reintegration of prisoners.
