[ES]La demencia tipo Alzheimer, es una de las demencias más conocidas y estudiadas en la actualidad,
debido a la gran cantidad de casos presentes. La enfermedad de Alzheimer se caracteriza por una
pérdida progresiva de capacidades cognitivas, cambios de conducta y deterioro físico, que provoca
en la persona una situación de dependencia para la realización de las actividades básicas de la vida
diaria. Debido a este deterioro se produce unos cambios en la estructura familiar del paciente y da
lugar a la dependencia de otras personas para sus cuidados.
Los objetivos planteados son identificar las estrategias e instrumentos que le han servido de ayuda
al cuidador principal para afrontar la experiencia del cuidado de un familiar con Alzheimer en fase
avanzada y conocer las repercusiones que el acto de cuidar tiene para los cuidadores informales.
La metodología utilizada será cualitativa, con un estudio fenomenológico a través de entrevistas
semiestructuradas

[EN]Alzheimer ́s type dementia is one of the best known and studied dementias today, due to the large number of cases present. Alzheimer ́s disease is chaacterized by a progressive loss of cognitive abilities, behavioral changes and physical deterioration, which causes a person to become dependen ton the basic activities of daily life. Due to this deterioration there are changes in the patient ́s family structure and leads to dependence on other people for their care. The objectives set are to identify the strategies and instruments that have helped the main caregiver to cope with the experience of caring for a family member with Alzheimer`s in an advanced stage and to know the repercussions that the act of caring has for informal caregivers. A qualitative methodology will be used, through a phenomenological study that will be carried out through semi-structured interviews.
