Este trabajo analiza la eficacia de la hipoterapia en las dificultades y trastornos del
lenguaje a través de una revisión de la literatura incluyendo 9 bases de datos y artículos
revisados por pares, escritos en inglés y publicados entre 2018 y 2022. En total 4 artículos
cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. A pesar de la poca literatura actual respecto a dificultades
y trastornos del lenguaje se aprecia un incremento en la utilización de la hipoterapia con
resultados positivos en dificultades del lenguaje sobre todo en Trastorno del Espectro Autista
y Sindrome de Dawn ya que se produce un aumento la comunicación productiva y receptiva
atribuido al componente social de la hipoterapia y a la motivación por compartir con otras
personas la experiencia vivida.
This paper analyses the efficacy of hippotherapy in the treatment of language difficulties and disorders through a literature review including 9 databases and only peer- reviewed articles written in English and published between 2018 and 2021. A total of 4 articles met the inclusion criteria. Despite the lack of literature regarding the topic of research, there is an increase in the use of hippotherapy with positive results in language difficulties, especially in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome. There is an increase in productive and receptive communication attributed to the social component of hippotherapy and also in the motivation to share with other people the experience lived.
