Resumen
[ES]Sarcoptes scabiei es el agente patógeno causante de la sarna sarcóptica. Los ungulados se ven especialmente afectados y en ellos se considera una enfermedad enzoótica. El objetivo del estudio fue determinar si existe una fenología reproductora estacional en Sarcoptes scabiei hospedado por Capra pyrenaica, a partir del análisis estadístico del número de larvas observadas. Para este estudio se analizaron las pieles parasitadas de 233 Cabras Monteses procedentes del Espacio Natural de Sierra Nevada, extraídas entre 2002 y 2010 como parte del Proyecto: CGL2012-40043-C02-01: Epidemiología, Inmunología y Patología de la Sarna Sarcóptica en la Cabra Montés. Los resultados sugirieron que existe un incremento de la reproducción del parásito hacia final de año, coincidente con el periodo reproductor del hospedador y la fenología de la enfermedad en el mismo, si bien, estos requirieron de mayor solidez estadística.
[EN]Sarcoptes scabiei is the causative pathogenic agent of the sarcoptic mange. The ungulates turn out to be especially affected and in them it is considered to be an enzootic illness. The target of the study was to determine if a seasonal reproductive phenology exists in Sarcoptes scabiei hosted by Capra pyrenaica, from the statistical analysis of the number of observed larvae. For this study, 233 parasited skins from Iberian ibex were analyzed, proceeding from the Natural Space of Sierra Nevada, extracted between 2002 and 2010 like a part of the Project: CGL2012-40043-C02-01: Epidemiology, Immunology and Pathology of the Sarcoptic Mange in the Iberian ibex. The results suggested that exists an increase of the reproduction of the parasite towards the end of the year, coincidingl with the reproductive period of the host and the seasonal pattern of the disease, although, these needed of major statistical soundness.
