Efectividad de la hidrocinesiterapia en esclerosis múltiple: revisión sistemática.

Resumen
[ES]Objetivos: comprobar la efectividad de la hidrocinesiterapia en pacientes con esclerosis
múltiple.
Material y Métodos: se realizó una revisión sistemática de la literatura, con sus respectivas
búsquedas en las bases de datos MEDLINE, PEDro, ISI-WOK y Cochrane utilizando las palabras
clave: hydrotherapy y multiple sclerosis.. Los estudios deben ser ensayos clínicos aleatorizados
de alta calidad metodológica y publicados a partir del año 2000.
Resultados: Se obtuvieron 501 artículos de los cuales: 181 estudios en la base de datos
MEDLINE, 10 en PEDro y 27 en Cochrane. Tras eliminar duplicados y aplicar los criterios de
inclusión, fueron incluidos un total de 5 estudios. La mayor parte de estudios encontrados
mostraron una mejora significativa a favor del grupo de actividad acuática con respecto al
grupo control.
Conclusión: La hidrocinesiterapia resulta beneficiosa para la población afectada por esclerosis
múltiple.
