(EN) Heart failure represents one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in the world population, with mortality rates of up to 67 percent 5 years after diagnosis. In its treatment, a multidisciplinary approach between different specialties and adjusted pharmacological treatment is required. To help us in pharmacological management, there are different clinical practice guidelines that guide treatment according to the profile of the patient with heart failure. A descriptive observational study is designed through an audit of medical history in which 129 patients admitted to the Internal Medicine service participate, with the objective of evaluating adherence to the main clinical practice guidelines for heart failure. The percentage of adherence obtained is 39 percent, higher than expected after consulting different bibliographic sources. High blood pressure is identified as a protective factor for compliance with clinical practice guidelines (OR 4.91).
