Resumen
El presente trabajo realiza un estudio actualizado del Homo Neanderthalensis, uno de los principales protagonistas de la Prehistoria de la Península Ibérica. En relación a ello, se presenta un análisis de las características físicas, se exponen sus diferencias con el Homo sapiens, se valoran los diversos modelos de extinción y se incluyen los últimos avances empleando el análisis de ADN. En una segunda parte, se presta especial atención a la presencia del Neandertal en la Península Ibérica haciendo un análisis pormenorizado de su presencia en diferentes territorios.
The present work realizes an updated study of Homo Neanderthalensis, one of the main protagonists of Prehistory of the Iberian Peninsula. In relation to it, present an analysis of the physical characteristics, their differences are exposed by the Homo sapiens, the diverse models of extinction are valued and the last advances are included using DNA analysis. In a second part, special attention to the presence of the Neanderthals in the Iberian Peninsula doing a detailed analysis of their presence in different territories.
