Propuesta de intervención para la disminución de la ansiedad en adolescentes a través del mindfulness

Resumen
La ansiedad es una problemática que aqueja a gran parte de la población adolescente causando malestar significativo en todos los ámbitos y que, en la mayoría de ocasiones, no recibe tratamiento. Este estudio describe los constructos ansiedad, mindfulness y bienestar subjetivo y plantea el desarrollo de un programa de intervención basado en mindfulness con el objetivo de reducir la ansiedad en adolescentes y aumentar su bienestar subjetivo. El programa de intervención está diseñado para aplicarse en estudiantes de entre 16 y 19 años de edad que estén cursando enseñanzas no obligatorias en centros educativos públicos. La intervención tendrá una duración de 16 sesiones de hora y media distribuidas semanalmente en las que se incluye psicoeducación y entrenamiento en mindfulness, así como una evaluación pre-test post-test para valorar la eficacia del mismo para disminuir la ansiedad y aumentar el bienestar subjetivo de los alumnos. Se esperan resultados significativamente positivos.
Anxiety is a problem that affects a large part of the adolescent population causing significant distress in all areas and that, in most cases, does not receive any treatment. This study describes the constructs anxiety, mindfulness and subjective well-being and proposes the development of a mindfulness-based intervention program with the aim of reducing anxiety in teenagers and increasing their subjective well-being. The intervention program is designed to be applied to students between 16 and 19 years of age who are studying non-compulsory education in a public educational center. The intervention will have a duration of 16 weekly sessions of an hour and a half which include psychoeducation and mindfulness training, as well as a pre-test post-test evaluation to assess its effectiveness in reducing anxiety and increasing the subjective well-being of the students. Significantly positive results are expected.
