The program will be carried out in two high schools of Torredonjimeno (Jaen). To pick our target, we will choose a sample of 80 boys and girls. Forty of them will be assigned at random to the experimental group, which will receive the training, and 40 remaining students will constitute a group of control of waiting-list. The training will be carried out along 13 meetings established inside the school schedule and will be based on the development of four psychological variables that, according to diverse empirical studies have demonstrated a narrow relation with the academic performance of the student body in different educational levels. These variables are: optimism, motivation, self-efficacy and self-control.
