La privación relativa y la envidia son dos experiencias psicológicas que tienen su origen en las comparaciones sociales desventajosas de las personas. Un resultado frecuente de dicha comparación desventajosa entre individuos, suele ser la percepción de una situación de injusticia que, en definitiva, puede derivar en la expresión de comportamientos hostiles, debido a la necesidad que tiene el individuo de reparar el efecto negativo producido. La presente investigación persigue analizar empíricamente la conexión de la privación relativa con la tendencia a manifestar conductas y sentimientos agresivos. Al tiempo que también se examina el papel de dos tipos de envidia: envidia benigna y envidia maliciosa.
