The main objective of this study was to analyse the relationship between the level of physical activity and depression in Spanish adolescents. The level of depression was measured using the CBD questionnaire. Analyses showed that adolescents considered themselves not active. Boys were more active than girls. Significance was found in PACE 1 and PACE 2. It is concluded that the higher the level of physical activity performed, the lower many of the illness-related symptoms were, although the opposite was also true for other factors, such as being unhappy, distress, fear, shortcomings or not worthwhile.
