Resumen
El descubrimiento de subgrupos es una técnica de minería de datos supervisada descriptiva cuyo objetivo consiste en la
extraccción de patrones que describan características interesantes respecto a una variable de interés para el experto.
Dentro del ámbito de la ciencia de datos, uno de los softwares más utilizados es R, un software estadístico cuyas
capacidades se pueden ampliar fácilmente mediante el empleo de paquetes software desarrollados por la comunidad.
Sin embargo, a pesar de su popularidad, este software carece de un paquete lo suficientemente eficiente que contenga los
principales algoritmos de descubrimiento de subgrupos desarrollados actualmente. Por tanto, el objetivo principal de este
proyecto consiste en la creación de este paquete software que será de gran utilidad para los expertos.
The subgroup discovery is a descriptive supervised data mining method whose objective consists in the extraction of patterns that describe interesting characteristics with respect to a variable of interest to the expert. Within the field of data science, one of the most widely used software is R, a statistical software whose capabilities can be easily extended by using software packages developed by the community. However, despite its popularity, this software lacks a sufficiently efficient package containing the main currently developed subgroup discovery algorithms. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to create this software package that will be very useful for experts.
