This paper aims to establish some links between creative writing and music, being music a source of inspiration to create narratives. Music and liryc has been closely related since Antiquity. Thus, they share several features; for instance, both are means for expressing emotions and thoughts. There have been so many writing workshops in which images have been used to inspire, but only a few which have used music for this purpose. It could be said that writing a music composition is similar to writing a text in a foreign language, since the composer is expressing an idea through musical notes, although a written text provides more specific information than a melody. Working with active listening will foster participant’s imagination, broaden the text's topics and they will learn how to listen and enjoy music.
