Resumen
(ES) El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster se centra en el uso de la poesía como medio de enseñanza de la lengua inglesa
en los niveles superiores de enseñanza secundaria. El objetivo de este TFM ha sido destacar las posibilidades que
ofrece la poesía y crear materiales didácticos para su uso en clases de inglés. Por lo tanto, la parte teórica se
centra en los beneficios de enseñanza de poesía a los adolescentes tanto en el aula de inglés, como en su
desarrollo cultural y psicológico general, mientras la parte práctica sugiere actividades basadas en la poesía
moderna y clásica. El Enfoque Comunicativo, el Aprendizaje Basado en Tareas y el Enfoque Orientado a la Acción
forman las bases metodológicas de este Trabajo Final de Máster.
(EN) The present Master Thesis focuses on the use of poetry as means of teaching the English language on senior levels of secondary school. The aim of this TFM has been to outline the possibilities offered by poetry and to create didactic materials for their use in the English language classroom. Thus, the theoretical part centres on benefits of teaching poetry to adolescents both in a language classroom and in terms of their overall cultural and psychological development, and the practical part suggest a variety of activities based on modern and classical poetry. The Communicative Approach, Task – Based Learning and Action – Oriented Approach lay the methodological foundation of this TFM.
