Resumen
El presente trabajo muestra la ciudad íbero-romana de Iliturgi
como producto turístico a través de la Ruta de los Fenicios para
hacer que Mengíbar se consolide como una potencia a gran escala
del patrimonio arqueológico. Además de introducirnos en la Ruta
de los Fenicios, nos adentraremos en la historia del oppidum íbero
de Iliturgi, así como su destrucción y posterior fundación romana
y los distintos expolios que ha sufrido.
También mostraremos los proyectos que se están desarrollando y
aquellos que podrían ser interesantes, además de mostrar una
visión crítica de ciertos temas. Por último, se hará una guía
práctica con una oferta cultural complementaria a la que podremos
acceder en el casco urbano de Mengíbar en su mayoría.
En definitiva, se trata de mostrar la historia de una ciudad que
históricamente ha estado mal situada y lo que se podría generar si
se trabajase adecuadamente con los recursos disponibles.
The present work shows the Iberian-Roman city of Iliturgi as a tourist product through the Route of the Phoenicians to make Mengíbar grow stronger as a large-scale power of the archaeological heritage. In addition to introduce us the Route of the Phoenicians, we’ll enter into the history of the Iliturgi Iberian oppidum, as well as its destruction and following Roman foundation and the differents pillagings it has suffered. We’ll also show the projects that are being developed and those that could be interesting, besides showing a critical vision of certain topics. Finally, there will be a practical guide with a complementary cultural offer that we can access in the urban area of Mengíbar in its majority. In conclusion, it is about showing the history of a city that historically has been wrong located and what could be generated if it were adequately worked with the available resources.
