(EN) The aim of this study is to review studies investigating the effectiveness of music therapy on behavioural and mood symptoms in patients diagnosed or likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The databases PsycInfo and Pubmed were searched. The results show positive effects on the mood and behaviour of patients with Alzheimer's disease, observed through increased functional and affective behaviour and decreased agitation, leading to an improvement in the patients' quality of life. However, there is little evidence that its effects are sustained over time. We include that more research is needed, involving larger numbers of subjects and sessions with more sophisticated methods of analysis and control.
