Resumen
[ES]La finalidad de este trabajo de fin de máster (TFM) es hacer una breve reflexión sobre
la importancia de la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) en las aulas de Educación Secundaria. Si
comparamos la atención que se le ha prestado a las competencias académicas frente a
las competencias emocionales, observamos que no se ha trabajado suficientemente en
el ámbito escolar. Pese a la creencia de que resulta innato o natural, los niños se
enfrentan a dificultades cuando tienen que expresar sus emociones.
Atendiendo a estudios e investigaciones con gran base empírica, se ha hecho visible
la importancia del descubrimiento y desarrollo de las fortalezas personales y la atención
plena para incrementar el desarrollo de las fortalezas personales y la atención plena
para incrementar en los individuos las emociones positivas, san relaciones personales,
el sentido de la vida o la obtención de logros, y con ello, una mejora en el rendimiento
académico.
En consecuencia a esto, vamos a diseñar un Programa de Orientación e Intervención
Psicopedagógica basado en la Inteligencia Emocional como mejora del rendimiento
académico de los adolescentes.

[EN]The objetive of this work of end of Master´s degree (TFM) is to make a brief reflection about the importance of emotional intelligence (EI) in the classrooms of secondary education. If we compare the attention that has been given to the academic skills with to the emotional competencies, we note that it has not worked sufficiently in schools. Despite the belief that it is innate or natural, children are facing difficulties when the have to express their emotions. Attending studies with a strong empirical base, the importance of the Discovery and development of personal strengths and Mindfulness to increase in individuals positive emotions, healthy interpersonal relationships, the meaning of life, obtaining achievements, commitment and with it, improvement in academic performance. In consequence with the above, we will designa an orientation program and psychopedagogical intervention of Emotional Intelligence for students of secondary education.
