La educación musical para personas con discapacidad es un ámbito poco conocido, generalmente asociado con clases sociales altas y futuros académicos prometedores, lo cual no refleja la realidad. El estudio musical debe ser visto como una fuente de aprendizaje teórico, personal y social, promoviendo mejoras cognitivas, del habla, de la interacción social y la capacidad de vincularse con otras personas para compartir espacios y actividades. Este trabajo investiga las ventajas y desafíos del estudio musical para personas con discapacidad, utilizando una metodología cualitativa basada en entrevistas semiestructuradas. Se realizará una comparativa entre España y Argentina, analizando las leyes y modelos educativos para identificar distintos enfoques y su implementación práctica
Music education for people with disabilities is a little known field, generally associated with high social classes and promising academic futures, which does not reflect reality. Music study should be seen as a source of theoretical, personal and social learning, promoting improvements in cognition, speech, social interaction and the ability to connect with others to share spaces and activities. This paper investigates the advantages and challenges of music study for people with disabilities, using a qualitative methodology based on semi-structured interviews. A comparison will be made between Spain and Argentina, analysing laws and educational models to identify different approaches and their practical implementation
