The use of arts in ELE classes: creating a fun language practicing environment

Enseñar un idioma es cada vez más difícil ya que se desarrolla la tecnología y los adolescentes de hoy
pierden su paciencia, interés y concentración fácilmente. Los métodos tradicionales utilizados en la
enseñanza de idiomas perdieron su función para siempre. La Generación Z debe ser activa, libre y abierta
a los cambios en el aula, lo que hace esencial el gran cambio en los materiales que los maestros utilizan en
la enseñanza.
Como profesora trabajando con adolescentes y buscando respuestas a "cómo hacer el aprendizaje más
fácil, más divertido y permanente", este trabajo intenta explorar cómo combinar las artes con clases de
español tomando mis experiencias personales en la enseñanza y en este máster como punto de partida.
El producto sirve como guía para los profesores que quieren probar algo nuevo en el aula y para apoyar la
creatividad, la confianza en sí mismo y la capacidad de expresarse de los estudiantes mientras aprenden
un idioma hermoso sin agotamiento.
Teaching a language is becoming harder as the technology develops and teenagers of today lose their patience, interest and concentration easily. Traditional methods used in language teaching lost their function forever. Generation Z needs to be active, free and open to changes in the classroom which makes essential the great change in the materials teachers use in teaching. As a teacher working with teenagers and searching for answers to “how to make the learning easier, funnier and permanent”, this work is to explore how to combine arts with Spanish lessons taking my personal experiences in teaching and in this master as a starting point. The product serves as a guide for teachers who want to try something new in the classroom and to support students’ creativity, self-confidence and ability to express themselves while learning a beautiful language without exhaustion.
