The current Final Degree Project focuses on the design of a photovoltaic system with an installed power of 51,84 kWp, located in Andújar (Jaén) at a High School. The PV installation will work as a self-consumption with surpluses. A review is made through the evolution of global energy consumption, of how the diversification of energy sources has become necessary, of the need for sources of renewable origin. A global vision of the photovoltaic sector is shown, its evolution in recent years both globally and in Spain. As an engineering project, one of the key factors to be evaluated is both economic and energy feasibility, which is why both studies have been carried out. Finally, given the importance of conserving the environment, it is crucial to know how an installation of this type affects this aspect, which is why a study has also been carried out comparing the CO2 emissions that would be emitted with respect to other generation technologies.
