Resumen
El Alzheimer es una enfermedad neurodegenerativa y la primera causa de demencia en el mundo. En los últimos años en Alzheimer ha ido aumentando el número de casos de personas que lo padecen debido al envejecimiento poblacional. Su etiología es desconocida aunque los factores genéticos y ambientales influyen. En la actualidad no existe ningún tratamiento para poder paliar la enfermedad, es una enfermedad irreversible. El objetivo principal de los tratamientos y de las diferentes intervenciones en mantener lo máximo posible sus capacidades cognitivas y funcionales. Por ello enfocamos a tratar el Alzheimer con el uso de las nuevas tecnologías, intentando mejorar su calidad de vida y tratando sus capacidades cognitivas. El Alzheimer es uno de los retos más importantes a los que deberá enfrentarse la sociedad en el transcurso del siglo XXI.
Alzheimer's is a neurodegenerative disease and the leading cause of dementia in the world. In recent years in Alzheimer's the number of cases of people suffering from population aging has been increasing. Its etiology is unknown although genetic and environmental factors influence. Currently there is no treatment to alleviate the disease, it is an irreversible disease. The main objective of the treatments and the different interventions is to maintain their cognitive and functional capacities as much as possible. For this reason we focus on treating Alzheimer's with the use of new technologies, trying to improve their quality of life and treat their cognitive abilities. Alzheimer's is one of the most important challenges that society must face in the course of the 21st century.
