Globally, there are high rates of violence against women, which Brysk (2017) compares to the catastrophic results of a war; since there are rapes, deaths and mutilations, which are only comparable to a situation of this nature. The WHO considers that more than 1/3 of the total female population in the world has suffered from gender-based violence (GBV). Among the most common assaults are: human trafficking, sexual assault, femicide and domestic violence. It is a priority to evaluate this approach in conjunction with the social elements that are related to the phenomenon; in addition to public policies that collaborate and promote laws that help eradicate the problem; since, seen in this way, society itself in certain cases has chosen to normalize the different situations that arise in the face of this type of violence
