Resumen
En
esta
investigación
se
examina
empíricamente
la
relación
existente
entre
el
Liderazgo
y
la
Inteligencia
Emocional
en
líderes
reales
(descriptivos)
y
en
líderes
ideales
(prescriptivos).
En
concreto,
los
participantes
expresan
y
evalúan
las
percepciones
que
tienen
acerca
de
las
habilidades
en
Inteligencia
Emocional
y
de
los
estilos
de
Liderazgo,
obteniendo
una
impresión
sobre
los
líderes
reales
(descriptivo)
e
ideales
(prescriptivo).
Los
resultados
revelaron
que
si
existe
correlación
entre
la
Inteligencia
Emocional
y
el
Liderazgo;
pero
no
es
el
estilo
de
Liderazgo
transformacional
el
que
es
percibido
con
mayores
características
emocionales
y
de
Liderazgo.
De
entre
los
líderes
reales
y
líderes
ideales,
las
personas
atribuyen
mayor
Inteligencia
Emocional
y
Liderazgo
a
estos
últimos.
Y
finalmente,
no
se
perciben
mayores
características
de
Inteligencia
Emocional
y
de
Liderazgo
en
función
del
sexo
y
de
la
experiencia
laboral
en
los
líderes
reales
e
ideales.
This research examines empirically the relationship between leadership and Emotional Intelligence in real leaders (descriptive) and ideal leaders (prescriptive). Specifically, participants express and evaluate their perceptions about Emotional Intelligence skills and leadership styles, gaining an impression of the real leaders (descriptive) and ideals (prescriptive). Results revealed that there is a correlation between Emotional Intelligence and Leadership; but is not the transformational leadership style which is perceived with greater emotional characteristics and Leadership. Among the real leaders and ideal leaders, people attach greater Emotional Intelligence and Leadership to the ideal leaders. And finally, there are not perceive major characteristics of Emotional Intelligence and Leadership by gender and work experience in the real and ideal leaders.
