Resumen
El
valor
dado
al
físico
es
cada
vez
mayor.
Esto
afecta
especialmente
a
las
personas
que
practican
deporte.
La
preocupación
por
el
cuerpo
influye
en
la
alimentación
y
práctica
de
ejercicio
y
en
algunos
casos
desemboca
en
una
obsesión
por
el
deporte
y
control
en
la
alimentación.
El
presente
trabajo
analiza
la
percepción
de
la
propia
imagen
corporal
y
su
influencia
en
prácticas
alimentarias
de
adolescentes
que
practican
dos
modalidades
deportivas
diferentes:
gimnasia
rítmica
y
hockey
hierba.
El
objetivo
principal
es
comparar
la
percepción
que
las
adolescentes
tienen
sobre
su
autoimagen,
la
presión
social
que
estas
sufren
por
tener
un
cuerpo
magro
y
en
qué
medida
practicar
ejercicio
interviene
en
su
vida
personal
en
ambos
deportes.
El
estudio
ha
contado
con
la
participación
de
62
mujeres
jóvenes
deportistas
de
entre
12
y
19
años
de
las
cuales.
Los
resultados
muestran
que
las
deportistas
de
hockey
tienen
menor
autoestima
corporal.
The value given to the body is becoming larger. This affects especially to people who practice sport. Being worried about our body influences in feeding and sport practice. In some cases, it leads into an obsession with sport and an strict control of feeding. In the present proyect, it is analysed the perception of the own corporal image and its influence in feeding practices in two groups of teenagers who practice two different sport modalities: rhythmic gymnastics and grass hockey. The main aim is comparing the perception that teenagers have with respect to their own corporal image, the social pressure that teenagers suffer to get a lean body and checking to what extend practicing physical activity takes part in their personal lives in both sport modalities. 62 young sportwomen between the ages of 12 and 19 has taken part in this study The results show that grass hockey players has a lower corporal selfesteem.
