Resumen
Este trabajo trata de abordar una investigación sobre la Inteligencia Emocional (IE) que presentan los alumnos de 6º
de Educación Primaria de un colegio de Jaén. El propósito es trabajar las emociones a través del arte. Para ello, se ha
realizado una propuesta de intervención en la que se presentan una serie de tareas artísticas dirigidas a mejorar el
desarrollo emocional de estos adolescentes. Para dar validez a la propuesta, se ha evaluado utilizando el Test de
Inteligencia Emocional de la Fundación Botín para Adolescentes (TIEFBA). Previamente se hace una revisión
bibliográfica sobre la IE, la importancia que tiene trabajarla en los centros educativos, así como los beneficios de su
desarrollo a través del arte. Además, se hace referencia a otras propuestas de intervención que tienen como
objetivo fomentar el desarrollo propio y social de niños y adolescentes atendiendo a la correcta educación de las
emociones.

To do this, a proposal of intervention has been development in which a number of artistic tasks aimed to improve emotional development in these teenagers are presented. Previously, this piece of work gathers a bibliographical review about the EI and the importance of working on it in educational centres, as well as the benefits of its development through art. In addition, reference is made to other proposals of intervention aiming to promote social and personal development in children and teenagers, bearing in mind the appropriate education of emotions.
