ENFERMEDAD DE ALZHEIMER: LA FAMILIA Y SUS CARACTERÍSTICAS PRINCIPALES

Abstract

[ES]Este trabajo aborda la enfermedad de Alzheimer centrándose en determinar el impacto que tiene en las familias el diagnóstico de la enfermedad de Alzheimer de alguno de sus componentes de la familia, siendo el tipo de demencia más usual en personas de edad avanzada. La realización de este trabajo ha sido dividida en dos partes. Por un lado, una revisión bibliográfica no sistemática a partir de diferentes bases de datos de revistas científicas, sistemas abiertos de información documental y buscador especializados en producción científica. Por otro lado, se ha realizado una investigación descriptiva utilizando la técnica de la entrevista, con una estructura abierta permitiendo una expresión fluida, a familiares y profesionales de la Asociación de familiares y enfermos de Alzheimer y otras demencias "21 de Septiembre" de Úbeda (Jaén). Por último, las conclusiones han sido extraídas de forma general y específica atendiendo a las diferentes partes del trabajo.

[EN]This work addresses Alzheimer's disease focusing on determining the impact that the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease of some of its family components has on families, being the most common type of dementia in elderly people. The realization of this work has been divided into two parts. On the one hand, a non-systematic bibliographic review based on different databases of scientific journals, open documentary information systems and a search engine specialized in scientific production. On the other hand, a descriptive investigation was carried out using the interview technique, with an open structure allowing fluid expression, to family members and professionals of the Association of relatives and patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias "21 de Septiembre" in Úbeda (Jaén). Finally, the conclusions have been drawn in a general and specific way, taking into account the different parts of the work.
