a ella llamada Sarcocapnos baetica (Boiss. & Reut.)
[EN]At present, many endemic species present in the Iberian Peninsula, and Andalusia, are in danger of extinction. This study evaluates fundamental aspects of plant reproductive biology: productivity and polinical viability. For this, an endemic species of the Iberian Peninsula was selected: Sarcocapnos integrifolia (Boiss.) Cuatrec. and another species very close to it called Sarcocapnos baetica (Boiss. & Reut.) Nyman, and underwent different tests to determine the polinical viability, productivity and pollen/ovule ratio: fluorochromatic reaction (FCR), tetrazolium chloride (TTC), in vitro germination and also the degree of xenogamy was determined. The study established a lower degree of xenogamy, viability and polinical stability for S. integrifolia. In addition, the results obtained by the tests were similar between both species, but they did differ at the level of the trials. This will help to increase the efficiency of conservation techniques applied to this species.
