The main objective of this project is to study the feasibility of the use of fly ash from the combustion of the orujillo as a partial substitute for portland cement. After a process of physical, chemical and mineralogical characterization of the raw materials the effect of the addition of different proportions of ash (10-80% by weight) to portland cement has been evaluated. Once the materials have been formed and cured, they have been tested according to different national and international standards to obtain their technological properties such as bulk density, water absorption and suction, and compressive strength. The results indicate that obtaining eco-blocks of portland cement and orujillo ash is a good alternative, especially the blocks obtained with a fly ash content of 50% already, which meets all the technical qualities required by the standard for this Type of materials.
