A Dyslexia-Friendly Perspective in the Foreign Language Classroom: A Didactic Proposal.

[ES]La dislexia es una de las dificultades de aprendizaje más comunes que afectan a los niños hoy en día. Esto produce problemas en la lectura y por tanto afecta al aprendizaje de una lengua extranjera. Este proyecto intenta inspirar a los profesores de idiomas a crear un ambiente favorable hacia la dislexia mediante la implementación de un enfoque multisensorial destinado a esos alumnos que presenten problemas relacionados con la dislexia. En consecuencia, se han introducido diferentes definiciones de dislexia, así como las más aceptadas teorías sobre sus causas y los síntomas que sufren aquellos que la padece. Además, se detallan las estrategias para implementar dicho enfoque multisensorial en el que diferentes sentidos son usados a la vez, y por la que se crea una propuesta favorable hacia la dislexia. Asimismo, este Proyecto incluye una propuesta didáctica dirigida a Educación Primaria en la que se ha incluido material especialmente adaptado a alumnos con sintomas de dislexia. Finalmente, se ha incluido una conclusión para hacer reflexionar a los profesores de idiomas extranjeros sobre los beneficios de implementar el enfoque multisensorial en sus clases ordinarias
[EN]Dyslexia is one of the most common learning disorders that affect children nowadays. It produces reading problems and therefore affects the learning of a foreign language. This project is an attempt to inspire Foreign Language teachers to create a dyslexia friendly environment by implementing a multisensory approach to those students who have problems as a consequence of dyslexia. Consequently, different definitions of dyslexia are introduced as well as the most accepted theories on its causes and symptoms suffered by dyslexic students. Besides, it details strategies to implement a multisensory approach in which different senses are used at the same time to creating a dyslexic friendly proposal. Additionally, this project incorporates a didactic proposal aimed at Primary Education in which different dyslexic-friendly materials are included. Finally, there is a conclusion to make Foreign Language teachers reflect on the benefits of implementing a multisensory approach as part of their ordinary classrooms.
