This work addresses with child sexual abuse (hereinafter CSA), which happens within the family, and everything that this phenomenon entails. This research seeks to know various aspects associated with intrafamily CSA, such as legislation, biopsychosocial consequences or the intervention of social work. We will also delve into the impact of COVID-19 on this problem, being a recent topic with little information. To achieve the object of study, the technique of bibliographic and documentary review is used. It is evident that the increase in incidence is due to changes in the laws and in the social sphere, that the minor victims are usually more girls than boys and that the perpetrators are mostly men. It is concluded, therefore, that CSA is closely related to gender, and that it occurs more in family environments, but that it is not reported at the time of the events due to the minor's fear and proximity to the abuser
