SEXUALIDAD EN LA DIVERSIDAD: PERSPECTIVA DESDE EL TRABAJO SOCIAL CON PERSONAS CON DIVERSIDAD INTELECTUAL

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se pretende analizar y reflexionar sobre la sexualidad de las personas con discapacidad intelectual. Para ello, estudiaremos la realidad de la propia condición de discapacidad intelectual, y una vez abordada, la del hecho sexual como necesidad y derecho universal innegable. Las personas con discapacidad intelectual se han convertido en un grupo marginado socialmente por el resto de la comunidad. Por otra parte, la sexualidad es uno de los aspectos de la vida más tabúes que existen a nivel social. En este trabajo pretendemos visibilizar ambas realidades y los apoyos que reciben por parte de la sociedad. Nos enfocaremos en el marco psicosexual y en las relaciones afectivo-sexuales de estas personas. Desde el Trabajo Social, descubriremos las actitudes y funciones necesarias por parte de las familias, los profesionales y las instituciones, además de analizar esta realidad desde la perspectiva de géneroThis project aims to analyze and reflect on the sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities. To do this, we will study the reality of the condition of intellectual disability itself and, once addressed, sexuality as an undeniable universal need and right. People with intellectual or developmental disabilities have become a socially marginalized group by the rest of the community. Moreover, sexuality is one of the most taboo aspects of life that exist at a social level. In this project we intend to make these two realities visible, as well as the support they receive from society. We will focus on the psychosexual framework and the affective-sexual relationships of these individuals. From the perspective of Social Work, we will explore the attitudes and actions required by families, professionals and institutions, in addition to analyzing this reality from a gender perspective
